A Special Halloween Episode

AsiloNews

A group of Asilo Pacients got together to experience the final night. An innocent Halloween activity shows the promise to be much more than that.

This is the first part of a game session from Dados à Portuguesa.

S.L. Kickers Football Field

People & PlacesSilent Læke

The Silent Læke Kickers’ field once echoed with cheers and Friday night lights.
Now, it feels heavier — like the air itself remembers.

It was here that Deirdre and Zachary spent their last afternoon together.
No one knows what they said.
But the grass still grows unevenly where they stood.

Every game played here feels like a rehearsal for something that already ended.

Zachary - The Boyfriend

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Zachary was Deirdre’s boyfriend.
The boy everyone wanted to be — charming, athletic, and effortlessly popular.

Since her death, he’s become a shadow of that image.
He still visits the places they shared, still wears the same letter jacket.
Some say he’s looking for answers. Others say he just doesn’t know who he is without her.

“He used to chase victories. Now he just chases ghosts.”

Demon Ninja reviewed by Trengo Maximus

Demon NinjaNews

This week, content creator Trengo Maximus published an in-depth review of our RPG Demon Ninja — both on his blog and on his YouTube channel.

⚠️ Please note: the review is in Portuguese.

In his review, Trengo dives headfirst into the violent and intense experience of Demon Ninja, highlighting the balance between brutal combat and the existential dilemmas of the game world. It's an honest, informed and personal take on the game’s core themes and mechanics — well worth a read (and a watch!).

Darkwoods Memorial Park

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Darkwoods Memorial Park was meant to honor the dead.
Now it only reminds the living of what they’ve lost.

The Lachlans visit often. Geneva leaves flowers. Horatio lingers in silence.
Others gather here too, as if drawn by grief itself.

Family and trauma carved these grounds as deeply as the names etched into the stones.

Silent Læke remembers. Even when you’d rather forget.

Naomi - The Shrink

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Naomi is the town’s therapist.
In a place where everyone is a suspect, listening can be more dangerous than speaking.

She’s known for her calm demeanor and for treating the families most touched by Deirdre’s death. But some whisper that her questions cut too deep — and that she knows more than she admits.

In Silent Læke, even the one who heals wounds may be hiding her own.

“Sometimes, what you don’t say reveals more than what you do.”

Behold, a new Pilgrim appears!

Demon NinjaNews

Recently, Disciple Studios announced that there is a new Pilgrim among us, and we share the enthusiasm.

It is no easy feat to undertake this journey and survive. We can only wish the best for the Pilgrim Afonso and his travels across the lands of dark Japan, this time with the power of a very special Kun.

And darkness takes the rest.

Circle of Hate

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Not far from the Circle of Love, another tree stands — blackened, bare, and silent.
This is the Circle of Hate.

Here gather those who envy, resent, or despise. Those who cannot forgive.
Every scar on its bark tells a story of anger, of betrayal, of grief turned sour.

The Circle of Love blooms with memories.
The Circle of Hate withers with rage.

Horatio - The Father

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Horatio is Deirdre’s father.
A well-known lawyer in Silent Læke, respected for his professionalism and admired for his good looks.

But since his daughter’s death, Horatio’s mask has started to crack.
Some say his erratic behavior is just grief. Others whisper that it hides something far darker.

Sometimes, the law can’t protect you from your own secrets.

Unboxing the Prototype – Silent Læke: Coffee & Shadows

DevLogSilent LækeNews

✨ A special moment for Silent Læke.

This week, we received the new prototype of the Coffee & Shadows card deck.
It’s a strange feeling, seeing something that lived only in drafts, sketches, and dreams become real — printed, tangible, something you can hold in your hands.

The prototype contains the core of the game: characters, places, and fragments of Silent Læke. Each card is a window into the town’s secrets, and flipping through them feels like walking its streets.

While we can’t embed the video here, you can watch the full unboxing on our social channels. The audio is in Portuguese — but we’re sure you’ll enjoy the visuals, the atmosphere, and the first glimpse at the cards themselves.

Meanwhile, here’s a photo of the prototype on the table — the new glimpse of Silent Læke as an object in the world.

Circle of Love

People & PlacesSilent Læke

In the town, there is a tree where all those who loved Deirdre gather.
Some come to remember.
Some come to grieve.
Some come to confess.

The Circle of Love is more than a place — it’s a wound carved into the landscape.
Every blossom is a memory. Every fallen petal, a secret.

Its counterpart lies nearby: the Circle of Hate.

Geneva - The Mother

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Her beauty never left her — it simply turned into sorrow.
Geneva is Deirdre’s mother. She was already struggling with depression before her daughter’s death. Now she is utterly lost.

Some say her grief has awakened a psychic sensitivity. Geneva swears she feels Deirdre’s presence around the house, almost as if her daughter never truly left.

But a mother’s bond can be a dangerous thing. Love can pull a soul back from the brink… or push it into the dark.

Dark Waters

Silent LækeAsilo

This piece by Jose M. García was created for Dark Waters, a crossover scenario between Asilo and Silent Læke.
Tense, melancholic, and quietly haunting — it captures the kind of horror we love most: the one that whispers before it screams.

The Lake

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Silent. Vast. Always staring back.
They say it keeps the town’s secrets in its still waters,
like a mirror that never shows the same reflection twice.

Fishermen avoid it after sundown.
Teenagers swear they hear voices when the fog rolls in.

In Silent Læke, the lake doesn’t just reflect the town.
It remembers.

Deirdre - The Victim

People & PlacesSilent Læke

We begin this series with Family & Trauma.
And it’s only fitting that we start with Deirdre. The girl herself.

Deirdre wasn’t just the homecoming queen who’s no longer with us.
She’s the absence shaping everything.
The smile everyone remembers.
The shadow everyone carries.

The night she died, it wasn’t just one life that ended.
It was the innocence of an entire town.

Who killed Deirdre? Or did she choose silence herself?

People & PlacesSilent Læke

Silent Læke is made of faces and places.
Every smile hides a story.
Every corner keeps a secret.

25 people. 24 places.

Together, they form a map of secrets and silences.

The Journey Ahead

  • September – Family & Trauma
  • October – Youth & School
  • November – Spirituality & Isolation
  • December – Culture & Decay
  • January – City & Work
  • February – Law, Order and Authority

Welcome to Silent Læke. The truth is out there, but digging into it might hurt.

Who Is A Máquina do RPG? (and what does it have to do with a dead girl from the ’90s?)

Newborn GamesSilent Læke

A Máquina do RPG (The RPG Machine) doesn’t sleep.

It lives between scribbled notes, worn-out cards, and characters who cry alone.

It’s the one who dreamt Silent Læke.

It’s the one now inviting you into the woods.

You can call it Helder J. Araújo.

But behind the scenes at Newborn Games — between stacked books and half-written campaigns — he only answers to Máquina.

Consider this your warning: the Machine is on. And it’s not stopping any time soon.
